About Jennifer Strong, DAc&OM, RAc

I have been providing skilled, compassionate integrative medical care, including acupuncture and botanical medicine since 1996. My gentle holistic approach and natural medicine solutions for many common health issues have improved the lives of thousands of my patients at the Edmonton General Hospital, Guthrie Medical Acupuncture Clinic in Comox, and now at Penticton Integrative HealthCare in Penticton, British Columbia.

My integrative medicine services are founded upon a natural, integrative and collaborative medicine approach based on sound medical knowledge. Since I began practicing in 1996 after earning my masters degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, I have accumulated extensive experience treating injuries of all sorts, chronic and acute back pain, weight issues, glaucoma, menopausal symptoms, infertility, stress reduction, addiction cessation, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, integrative cancer treatment, myasthenia gravis, allergies, post-surgical pain, as well as treating conditions listed in the World Health Organization statement on acupuncture found here (see page 23). I use all the best tools in my field, including acupuncture, Meditech BioFlex Low-Level (cold) laser therapy, SCENAR therapy and botanical medicine. Collaborative and Integrative medicine are the way of the future. I work with my patients’ other health providers, developing a team approach, which is in the best interest of our mutual patients.

At Penticton Integrative HealthCare, I teach and support my patients in developing a healthy, happy lifestyle by providing effective treatment for their condition(s) and instruction in corrective self-care, promoting wellness through prevention and health maintenance.
